The social replay value for each game easily outweigh all of the flaws found throughout the entire collection. It is a must-play for friends, and for the entire family!
Wii Sports is simply more than just a disc-based "tech demo". It is an experience; a collection of fun, simple, easy to learn mini games! The goal of each game, and the entire collection, is to get people, primarily those who haven't played a video game before, interested in playing video games.
There are five games, in total, that can be found within this wonderful, family-friendly bundle! They include, but are not limited to:
* Baseball
* Boxing
* Bowling
* Golf
* Tennis
Gone are the days of just sitting down and holding a controller to experience these family-friendly titles. From now on, you can stand up, and "simulate", the sports yourself with the power of "motion-sensing" technology included within the system. Want to play golf? Just stand up and "simulate" the golfing experience by holding the "Wiimote", the controller, like a golf club, and play! Want to play baseball? Stand up, hold the "Wiimote" like a baseball bat, and hit a few rounds outside of the park!
Seems perfect, right? Well...not exactly. Here are the pros and cons to the entire package.
1. Family-friendly.
2. Fun to play with multiple people. Especially during a party.
3. Controls are easy to understand, and are very user-friendly.
4. Colorful, yet simplistic, environments.
1. The motion tracking isn't exactly perfect. It could be better.
2. Boxing is terrible.
3. They should have added more sports to the game. Five isn't enough.
4. Replay value for each game dies off very quickly for a solo player.
This collection may have it's fair share of faults. But we here at The Critical Gamers still think that you should play it. Why? Because! It's a classic title that should be experienced by both hardcore gamers and casual gamers alike!
